Photos from Montreux and Rochers-de-Naye
Maybe the most amazing day on our trip, the Swiss Alps are simply incredible. These photos are from the morning in Montreux and the afternoon spent at the summit of Rochers-de-Naye.
Montreux and Rochers-de-Naye
This day takes on the mantle of contender for best day of the trip.
We started out pretty simply, walking along the lake in Montreux sampling tasty local Swiss ice cream, called Movenpick, and taking photos of the lake and parks along the walk.
The main event for the day was a train ride, essentially straight up a mountain, to one of the higher peaks in the immediate area. We had hoped for Continue reading
Photos from Vevey and Montreux
Just posted a few quick comments on Vevey and Montruex. Really awesome, laid back area with amazing scenery. Here is a sampling of that scenery, but I don’t feel like it did it justice.
Montreux and Vevey Switzerland
I just finished resizing a bunch of pictures from our first day in Switzerland and was getting ready to post them when I realized that I hadn’t finished a post talking about our time in Switzerland. Photos of Venice

College Football Weekend Review
With the awesomeness of this college football weekend, I’m a little surprised at myself for how long its taken me to get this post up. Huge win for FSU, unexpected win for UGA, and USC lost its third game this year. I think the college football gods are starting to know that I see the end of the season coming and I’m getting sad so they gave me a little gift.
Two Movie Reviews
Recently saw a couple of movies that I thought I’d put my two cents in on.
We watched Elizabethtown on DVD the other day at the house. It was a little different than I expected, but it was really good. The thirty second summary: On the same day Orland Bloom discovers that the shoe he designed for his company is a catastrophic failure to the tune of $972 million, he also finds out that his father died. His mother and sister, who can’t handle it, send him to Kentucky to bring his father home to Oregon. On the flight to Kentucky Bloom meets unusual flight attendant Kirsten Dunst.
