Went out sightseeing in Delhi again today and took a bunch of pictures. I’m going to switch things up just a little bit this time around. I usually post all the pictures from a day at once, but since there are over 100 to post I’m going to split it up into a couple of different entries.
Before the pics, just a couple of thoughts on the fort. The most impressive thing about it is the size of the complex. I really don’t know the actual size of it, but its pretty massive. Its sort of weird calling it a fort because the only thing that is really fort-like about it is the outer wall. Inside the walls is a collection of buildings scattered throughout the wall with large swaths of green space and artificial ponds and in between.
I’d like to say that I was more impressed with it, but it was just okay. Perhaps I’ve been spoiled with some of the other amazing historical sites I’ve seen, but it wasn’t overwhelmingly cool like Sacre Cour or St. Mark’s Basilica. Anyway, here are the photos.
