The Lodi Garden was easily the best thing in Delhi that I visited. In a city of millions and millions of people and a lot of noisy, chaotic traffic the Lodi Gardens turned out to be a nice little oasis. I think it really helped that the air was actually kind of clear that day.
Humayan’s Tomb is probably my favorite architectural thing that I saw in New Delhi. I feel a little strange saying that because even though it was much more impressive than the Red Fort, it had some deficiencies. The actual structure and the exterior are truly amazing. Its really is one of the most impressive structures I’ve seen.
Went out sightseeing in Delhi again today and took a bunch of pictures. I’m going to switch things up just a little bit this time around. I usually post all the pictures from a day at once, but since there are over 100 to post I’m going to split it up into a couple of different entries.
Handful of pictures from my first day of sightseeing around New Delhi. Photos are of the India Gate memorial and surrounding area and of the government buildings and presidential palace.
So work sent me to a place that I never thought I’d go. For a lot of people India is the ultimate vacation spot. I’m just not one of those people. I know that there is a lot about the country that is a draw to people, but nothing about it every really grabbed me.
